Context

Leave Applications

To request leave, use the RMO Leave Form. A downloadable version is available on the Forms page of RMO World.

To apply for leave:

  1. Work out some tentative dates.
  2. Check with the rest of your team that they are not planning to be away at the same time.
  3. Complete the RMO Leave Form.
  4. Send the leave form to the Resident Doctors Support Team to check your leave entitlement and cover plans.
  5. Get Clinical Director/Consultant sign-off from the team you will be working for at the time of leave.
  6. Final approval is then given by the Resident Doctors Support Team and leave confirmed.
  7. You will receive a copy of the form once it has been confirmed (as will the Clinical Director and Payroll).
  8. Any roster changes must be notified in advance to the Resident Doctors Support Team and telephone operator.

Note: Registrars on runs with internal cover for leave should discuss any leave plans with the Senior Registrar and the Consultants.
