Your employment agreement sets out your entitlements to annual, sick, and other leave.

RMOs are entitled to 30 days of annual leave per annum. Please be aware this is an accrual and you accrue the 30 days during the course of your first year of service. You do not have an immediate entitlement to 30 days of leave on your first day of employment.

Your Annual Leave balance shows on your payslip each fortnight and is also available on Employee Self Service.

For your own well-being, try to take leave at regular intervals. Due to the number of RMOs and the requests for leave cover, you need to plan your leave well in advance.

First year house officers: your registration requirements state that no more than three weeks' leave can be taken per three month run in your pre-registration year.
